Levels

A written grading test taken before arrival via internet as well as a short oral test on the day of arrival allows us to assign the students into classes according to the “Common European Framework of Reference for languages” (CEFR) levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. The groups are not closed, therefore it is possible to change classes (and therefore levels) during the stay (if a place is available in the higher or lower class). The teacher or the student may request a change of level. In either case, the procedure to follow is to speak to the Director.
Please note: In case that a course consists of less than three students, we reserve the right to reduce course length form 5 to 3 days per week.

FAQ:

"How much time does it take me to get from absolute beginner to the advanced level?"
Depending a bit on your own talent and motivation, you will normally need 9 to 12 months.

Comments of former students:

"The course is very effective (you speak a lot, etc.), and a lot of fun! The teachers are young, attractive and full of initiative. The classes are varied and cover several topics; they are also small enough that you receive individual help and attention."
Hedda Lingaas Fossum, 20, Denmark
